‘One of Those Nights’ Live Acoustic
One of Those Nights – Live Unplugged
There’s something raw and real about stripping a song down to its core—just voices, guitars, and the energy of the moment. That’s exactly what we captured in this live unplugged version of One of Those Nights.
This time around, I had the pleasure of playing alongside my friend Dan Stafford, who not only played guitar but also added some killer backing vocals. You might recognize his voice from the studio version, but hearing it live in this stripped-down setting brings a whole new depth to the song.
The beauty of an acoustic performance is in its imperfections—the slight variations in phrasing, the way the guitars blend in the room, the way a lyric hits differently when there’s no production to hide behind. One of Those Nights has always been a song about late-night reflection, about fighting the thoughts that creep in when the world quiets down, and playing it like this just makes that feeling even more tangible.
Why This Version?
Some songs need the energy of a full band, the weight of a rhythm section pushing them forward. Others thrive in the quiet, where every word and every note carries its full weight. This version of One of Those Nights is for the latter. It’s meant to be felt as much as it’s meant to be heard.
